Disneyland Paris to Rebrand Park as Disney Adventure World

Disneyland Paris is set to undergo a major transformation with the revamping of its second gate, Walt Disney Studios Park. The park will be renamed Disney Adventure World and will see a €2 billion investment in expanding and renovating the park. One of the major highlights of the transformation is the addition of a Frozen-themed land called World of Frozen. This new land will be located near Adventure Bay, a body of water that will serve as the central hub to the new expansion.

Tom Fitzgerald, Walt Disney Imagineering Chief Storytelling Executive, expressed excitement about the transformation, stating that the park will evolve from soundstages to immersive adventure worlds inspired by beloved Disney stories. The new lands and experiences will be the focus of the park’s identity and will offer guests the opportunity to participate in adventures based on iconic Disney tales. World of Frozen is set to debut alongside Disney Adventure World, promising an exciting new era for the park.

Construction on the new park entry plaza is set to begin in April, with the entrance building being transformed into a space reminiscent of historic movie theaters in Hollywood. The new entry building, renamed World Premiere, is scheduled to open in Spring 2025. Additionally, World Premiere Plaza will feature facades from Broadway and West End theaters, leading guests to Adventure Way, where a new family-friendly attraction, Raiponce Tangled Spin, and a table-service restaurant, The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge, will be located.

Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, highlighted the park’s commitment to offering immersive experiences that resonate with guests. The investment in Disney Adventure World is just the beginning of a larger investment plan for Disney, with the company announcing a $60 billion investment over the next 10 years in its Experiences segment. This investment will focus on expanding and enhancing both domestic and international parks and cruise line capacity, with potential development on over 1,000 acres of land.

Bob Iger, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, emphasized the company’s history of strategic investment and growth, stating that they plan to further accelerate growth with the current investment plan. In addition to the transformation of Disneyland Paris, Disney has announced various new attractions and developments at its theme parks, including Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort, the renovation of EPCOT, and the opening of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo Disneyland Resort. The company is also set to debut new cruise ships and welcome cruisers to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in June.
