Craig Conover discusses his decision to invest in an alcohol brand that competes with his friend Kyle Cooke’s Loverboy

Craig Conover recently invested in the alcohol brand Spritz Society, which directly competes with his friend Kyle Cooke’s Loverboy. He explained that he always wanted to have an alcoholic brand in his investment portfolio that felt true to him. Conover first tried Spritz Society at a Taylor Swift concert with his girlfriend Paige DeSorbo and discovered that it had been co-founded by his friends Claudia Oshry and Ben Soffer. Despite founding Sewing Down South in 2018, Conover admitted that becoming an investor in an alcohol brand helped him understand the challenges faced by friends like Cooke and Austen Kroll in the industry.

Conover expressed respect for Cooke’s dedication to Loverboy but also admitted he didn’t fully understand the grind of the alcohol business until he got involved in it himself. He previously offered to invest in Kroll’s beer company, Trophop, but was declined the opportunity. Conover clarified that he would have loved to invest in Loverboy as well but that wasn’t an option. He emphasized his respect for his friends in the industry and stated that he will always be a Loverboy fan, despite his involvement with Spritz Society.

The reality TV star teased that he may have over-extended himself with his latest investment, given his other business ventures in Pillows and Beer podcast, Sewing Down South store in Nashville, bar in Charleston, and a new home décor collection. Conover worked on the collection for two years to ensure that the products matched up perfectly with Sewing Down South. He expressed excitement about launching the home décor line and being able to reach more families across the country through collaboration with Kroger Family of Stores.

Conover mentioned that his various business ventures will likely be featured in the new season of “Southern Charm,” which is currently being filmed. He hinted at personal growth and journey for the cast members on the show, acknowledging that everyone is on their own path. Additionally, Conover and Cooke, who have been friends for years, have appeared in “Winter House” together and have grown closer with their respective partners. Representatives for Loverboy chose not to comment on Conover’s investment in Spritz Society.

The reality TV star plans to continue expanding his business interests and making his products more accessible to a wider audience. He emphasized the importance of being able to collaborate with Kroger to reach more families across the country with his home décor collection. Conover also mentioned his excitement at being able to see his products in stores and considered it a pinch-me moment. New episodes of “Summer House” air on Thursdays on Bravo, and fans can expect to see the evolution of various cast members, including Conover, as they navigate their personal and professional lives on screen.
