According to a statement on the website of the Turkish Coast Guard Command, teams were dispatched to the areas off Urla, Seferihisar, and Cesme districts in response to reports of irregular migrants in rubber boats.
The teams rescued 83 irregular migrants, including 15 children, from 3 rubber boats that had been pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements off the coasts of these 3 districts.
A boat crew was assigned to respond to reports of rubber boats with irregular migrants in distress in the areas off Dikili and Cesme due to engine failure.
Coast Guard teams successfully brought ashore 50 irregular migrants, including 20 children, from 2 rubber boats.
In total, 73 irregular migrants were apprehended.
In another operation, a Coast Guard vessel identified a group of irregular migrants on a fiber boat and a rubber boat off the coasts of Urla and Dikili.
A total of 73 irregular migrants, including 33 children, were captured after the boats were intercepted by the teams.
After processing, the irregular migrants were sent to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
