Christine Quinn has accused her estranged husband, Christian Dumontet, of violating a restraining order by sending a stranger to spy on her. Security cameras caught the man trespassing on her property and he was later seen with Dumontet after a court hearing. A judge issued a criminal restraining order against Dumontet on charges of domestic violence, prohibiting any contact with Quinn and their son, and to stay away from their home. Dumontet did not enter a plea and another hearing was requested for July.
The filing by Quinn’s attorney stated that the stranger was sent by Dumontet to spy on her, which violated the terms of the restraining order. Quinn observed the man on her property and was concerned for her safety, thinking he may have been trying to burglarize her home. After the man left without incident, no report was made. Photos later showed the man with Dumontet wearing the same outfit, confirming him as an associate of Dumontet who violated the restraining order.
While Quinn is not currently pursuing contempt charges, she reserves the right to do so if violations continue. The filing claimed that Dumontet had previously sent individuals to spy on her and that she no longer feels safe living in their marital home. Dumontet was arrested in March for domestic violence and later violated a temporary restraining order by going back to the house. Quinn accused Dumontet of violent behavior towards her and their son, leading to the legal proceedings.
Dumontet filed for divorce from Quinn in April and requested full custody of their son, while Quinn sought sole custody citing concerns for their child’s safety. The couple married in December 2019 and welcomed their son in 2021. Court proceedings and legal actions continue regarding the restraining orders and custody arrangements. Dumontet faces misdemeanor charges related to child abuse, assault, and violation of a protective order, with the legal teams expressing satisfaction with the decisions made so far.
