A tragic car accident occurred on May 16th in Atakent Mahallesi, Silifke district. Perihan Çiğdem lost control of the car while trying to avoid hitting a dog that ran onto the road while driving back from Silifke to Tarsus.
The car flipped over and Perihan Çiğdem, the driver, her husband Barlas Çiğdem, their daughter Ceylin Çiğdem, and two other children were injured in the accident. Ceylin Çiğdem, a middle school student, was taken to Silifke State Hospital, but despite all efforts to save her, she tragically passed away today.
Ceylin Çiğdem’s body was brought to Tarsus City Cemetery for her funeral. Her parents, who survived the accident but are still receiving medical treatment, were able to attend the funeral in wheelchairs. After the funeral prayer, Ceylin Çiğdem was laid to rest.
