A man named Oktay Sarıtiken from Ankara visited the district for the Ramadan holiday and went to the Göktaş Dam Lake in Andırap district of Gökgöz to fish on April 11th.
Sarıtiken lost his balance and fell into the dam lake, which was witnessed by the people around, who immediately notified the gendarmerie.
The district gendarmerie underwater team was dispatched to the scene to assist in the search and rescue operation.
After 17 days of search efforts by the teams, Sarıtiken’s lifeless body was found in the dam lake.
Following the examinations, the body was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
