Dunn was the 28th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and has an average of 6.5 points per game with a 43.3% shooting average from the field. Comparatively, Beal has had 17.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists averages per game in his 23 starts this season.
In Nurkić’s place, Mason Plumlee, who has participated in 32 games this season (a team-high number tied with Tyus Jones), will now be part of the starting lineup. Despite Nurkić’s consistent performance, having started all 23 games this season when healthy, the team hopes that Plumlee can bring a fresh approach to their game.
