Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır visited various locations in Çankırı. After attending the “Youth Meeting” at Çankırı Karatekin University with Turkey’s first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, Minister Kacır visited Governor Mustafa Fırat Taşolar in his office where he signed the Governor’s Honor Book.
Kacır received information about the city from Governor Taşolar and then participated in a Consultation Meeting with Industrialists at a hotel in the city. Following the meeting, he visited a tire factory located in the Yakınkent Industrial Zone where he joined the workers for iftar.
The Minister also visited a ceramic factory in the Kurşunlu district where he received information about the facility from the authorities there. In the Ilgaz district, he visited the AK Party Election Coordination Center where he mentioned how President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has transformed Turkey into a production hub over the past 22 years.
Kacır highlighted that Turkey has become the number one producer of white goods, commercial vehicles, solar panels, iron-steel, and cement in Europe. He also emphasized Turkey’s success in the defense industry, particularly in unmanned aerial vehicle production. Minister Kacır mentioned various Turkish drones and helicopters that have made a mark in the aviation industry.
By meeting with local tradesmen, Minister Kacır also visited Ilgaz Mayor Mehmed Öztürk to learn more about the district and its development. Overall, Minister Kacır’s visit to Çankırı showcased the growth and progress of Turkey as a leading producer in various industries and the successful projects undertaken under President Erdoğan’s leadership.
