At a Rally in Colorado, RFK Jr. Discusses Ayahuasca, Abortion, and Brain Worms

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s supporters gathered at a rally in Aurora, Colo., unconcerned about the brain worm that allegedly affected the presidential hopeful over a decade ago. The rally focused on issues such as big pharma, forever wars, and the chronic disease epidemic, issues that resonate with Trump’s more conspiratorial supporters. Attendees expressed frustration with the two-party political system and corporate influence, highlighting their support for Kennedy’s outsider candidacy.

Issues like abortion, a key concern for Trump-era Republicans, were less prominent in the conversations at the rally. When prompted, attendees expressed a range of opinions on abortion, from banning it after six weeks to leaving it to the states to decide. Some attendees had unique pet causes, like a homeless supporter hoping for the release of JFK assassination files and an end to endless wars. The crowd showed more of an anti-Biden sentiment, with only a few having voted for Biden in 2020.

Kennedy’s campaign is making a push to secure a place on the CNN presidential debate stage on June 27. To qualify, he needs to poll above 15% in four national polls and earn a spot on enough state ballots to potentially win 270 electoral votes. Kennedy claimed to have already secured ballot access in states that could give him 201 electoral votes, with enough signatures for 343 by June 20. Despite his late arrival at the rally and his lack of specifics on issues like abortion and gun control, Kennedy focused on the budget deficit and protecting constitutional rights like free speech.

The rally saw appearances from former Pussycat Dolls member Jessica Sutta, a vaccine injury advocate, and Del Bigtree, a prominent anti-vaccine conspiracist who introduced Kennedy. Kennedy’s platform included promises to end “endless wars” and release the JFK files, resonating with attendees seeking an alternative to mainstream candidates.
Overall, the rally showcased Kennedy’s growing support base and his appeal to disillusioned voters looking for an outsider candidate who promises to challenge the status quo. Despite his unconventional approach and the controversy surrounding his past health issues, Kennedy’s supporters remain enthusiastic and hopeful about his chances in the upcoming election.
