Arsenal are preparing for a significant summer transfer window under Mikel Arteta’s leadership, with sporting director Edu working to arrange several player exits to improve the club’s budget. The Gunners are considering offers for seven players, including Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe, Kieran Tierney, Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, and Reiss Nelson, as they look to strengthen the squad’s depth. Additionally, Cedric Soares, Mohamed Elneny, and Arthur Okonkwo are set to depart at the end of their contracts in June. Arsenal is looking to support Arteta with substantial funds for transfers, and potential exits could further boost their finances.

The club has already seen interest in homegrown talents like Nketiah, Smith Rowe, and Nelson, with the latter attracting attention from overseas clubs after successful loan spells. While Smith Rowe struggled to fulfill his potential following rejected bids from Aston Villa in 2021, Arsenal may consider moving on from him. Goalkeeper Ramsdale is also being closely watched, as Newcastle and Chelsea are reportedly interested in his services, potentially bringing a profitable sale for the Gunners. Arsenal is assessing the future of Thomas Partey, who has one year left on his contract, amidst his return to form, while Jorginho recently signed a new deal at Chelsea.

Gabriel Jesus is expected to stay at Arsenal, pending a solution to his knee issues, which could involve surgery to fully recover his value to the team. While there are uncertainties around certain players, including Partey and Jesus, the club does not anticipate making major changes to the squad. Young talents like Ethan Nwaneri and Chido Obi Martin are expected to have opportunities to develop, with Nwaneri potentially going out on loan. Arsenal’s focus is on retaining key players while leveraging potential exits to strengthen the squad, ensuring they can compete at a high level next season.

Overall, Arsenal’s summer transfer plans revolve around balancing squad improvements with financial considerations. The Gunners are exploring exits for several players to generate funds for new signings and bolster the team’s overall depth. While some homegrown talents are attracting interest, the club aims to retain key players and only make strategic changes to the squad. Arteta and Edu are working together to navigate the transfer market effectively and ensure Arsenal remains competitive in the Premier League. With a mix of potential exits and new signings, the Gunners are preparing for an important off-season that could shape their fortunes in the upcoming season.
