The upcoming Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester City has fans excited and anxious, as Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal squad members return to club duty after their international break. Arteta is concerned about the fitness of some senior players, as they prepare to face Manchester City in a pivotal match. Despite being on top of the league standings, Arsenal is only one point ahead of City. The Gunners have had mixed results against City in recent meetings, with wins in the Community Shield and league meeting but a loss at the Etihad Stadium last season. Arsenal’s last game was a Champions League penalty shoot-out victory over Porto on March 12, and Arteta will be hoping that their international players return in good condition.

Arsenal has some key players doubtful for the match against Manchester City, with Jurrien Timber ruled out and others like Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Magalhaes uncertain due to injuries. Saka missed the reverse fixture against City but is not thought to have a serious injury. On the other hand, City is also facing injury concerns with players like Kyle Walker and John Stones picking up injuries while on international duty. Ederson, Kevin De Bruyne, and Matheus Nunes are also doubtful for the upcoming game. The health of all 20 Premier League teams is being monitored by Mirror Football in anticipation of the weekend’s matches.

During the international break, France manager Didier Deschamps had strong opinions about Arsenal’s William Saliba, but the defender’s performance against Chile drew positive reactions from fans. Saliba made a crucial goal-saving tackle during France’s victory, showcasing his defensive skills and earning praise from supporters. Some Arsenal fans were eager to see Saliba play a key role for the team during the final stretch of the season. Meanwhile, former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s decision not to re-sign Cesc Fabregas after he left Barcelona was discussed, with Wenger’s intention being to set a precedent for players leaving the club.

In preparation for the match against Manchester City, Arsenal will welcome back William Saliba, who has impressed fans with his recent performances for France. Some fans have dubbed his signature move as “the Saliba slide,” highlighting his defensive prowess. Wenger’s decision to not bring back former players like Fabregas was explained as a strategy to maintain the club’s integrity and discourage players from leaving and returning. As Arsenal faces Manchester City, there are high hopes for Saliba to shine and help the team secure a crucial victory in the Premier League title race. The upcoming match will test Arsenal’s squad depth and resilience as they aim to maintain their lead at the top of the league standings.
