Madix and Sandoval had previously lived together in a home they purchased in 2019 for $2 million before their breakup.
After their separation, Madix and Sandoval remained roommates and communicated through a third party. In January, Madix filed a lawsuit against Sandoval in hopes of selling their joint home, citing discord between them that was affecting her enjoyment of their ownership. The court documents state that Madix requested the property be partitioned by sale, with an equitable allocation of the proceeds and payment of any related debts.
Sandoval responded to Madix’s filing, claiming that she did not provide sufficient facts to support her cause of action and that the partition of the residence should not be granted. Madix joined the cast of Dancing With the Stars in September 2023 and announced on Watch What Happens Live that she would be staying in an Airbnb while training for the show. She mentioned that she owns the house equally with Sandoval and wants to sell it, but he does not. Since January, Madix has been living in New York City where she is starring on Broadway’s Chicago as Roxie Hart until April 7, further highlighting her focus on her career and the need to resolve the ownership issue with Sandoval.
