Construction work continues on the designated reserve areas on Atatürk Boulevard, which suffered great damage in earthquakes, in the construction projects carried out by Emlak Konut under the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. The project consists of 116 blocks with 2,100 independent sections.
Adıyaman Governor Osman Varol, who inspected the construction site, reminded journalists of the serious work being done in the reserve areas. Varol stated that some buildings in the area are nearing completion, saying, “We are in the reserve areas, which are the busiest and most crowded street of Adıyaman, and as you can see behind me, our buildings are reaching the final stages. Hopefully, we will have completed some blocks completely soon.”
Varol explained that the reserve areas consist of 116 blocks and that construction is ongoing, with approximately 2,100 independent sections, some of which are residential units and some are commercial units. He also mentioned that urban transformation works are continuing in Mara and Musalla neighborhoods of Adıyaman. Varol stated, “In addition, urban transformation works continue in our city. When we add up the works on the boulevard, we are talking about a total area of 242,000 square meters. It is truly a massive construction activity. These buildings are architecturally very stylish buildings that will add beauty and spirit to the city. They may serve as a guide for future construction projects. They have been thought of with a focus on people, and citizens can take them as an example when building their own homes.”
Varol emphasized that earthquake regulations are being followed in the construction of the buildings, stating, “The construction quality is unquestionably strong and sturdy. They are built using materials that meet all the requirements of the regulations. Therefore, our citizens can be reassured about the earthquake resistance and durability of these buildings.” He encouraged the citizens to take comfort in the quality of the construction materials used.
