Actor Vural Çelik bid farewell to his final journey.

Well-known Turkish actor Vural Çelik passed away at the age of 48 due to a heart attack. His funeral was held at Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Camii, where condolences were accepted by the actor’s mother and sister. Producer and director Birol Güven expressed his deep sorrow at the loss of Çelik, highlighting their close and special relationship. Güven stated that Çelik had a unique and energetic personality, often behaving like a child with a heart full of joy.

Actor Ceyhun Fersoy reminisced about meeting Çelik on a television program in 2009 and working together in the sitcom “Seksenler” for four seasons. He expressed his shock and sadness at the untimely death of his colleague, remembering him fondly. Similarly, actor Yavuz Seçkin described Çelik as a friendly and warm-hearted person, expressing his grief and likening the loss to losing a family member. Seçkin revealed that despite Çelik’s outgoing nature, he was often lonely and introverted, reflecting on the challenges of the entertainment industry.

Actor Ferdi Akarnur disclosed his long-standing friendship with Çelik, stating that they had not been able to meet frequently due to their busy schedules. He lamented the loss of his dear friend, emphasizing the joyful and humorous moments they shared. Actress Begüm Öner also praised Çelik’s positive and unchanging demeanor, thanking him for the wonderful memories they created together. She bid him farewell, wishing him eternal peace.

Actor Sarp Apak shared his memories of working with Çelik, describing him as a unique and humorous individual who never let health issues affect his jovial spirit. Apak expressed his sadness at the loss and emphasized the importance of fulfilling their final duty to honor Çelik’s memory. Actress and host Şoray Uzun highlighted Çelik’s comedic talent and cheerful personality, underscoring his ability to bring laughter to those around him. She fondly remembered their time together, reminiscing about the joyous moments they shared.

Following the funeral prayer at Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Camii, Vural Çelik was laid to rest at Kilyos Cemetery. Çelik, born in Ankara in 1973, began his acting career at renowned theaters such as Levent Kırca Tiyatrosu and Yasemin Yalçın’s theater. He later joined BKM under the direction of Yılmaz Erdoğan, appearing in the popular sitcom “Bir Demet Tiyatro”. Çelik gained widespread fame for his role as “Kubilay Peynircioğlu” in the TV series “Avrupa Yakası” and appeared in various other productions such as “Seksenler,” “G.O.R.A,” and “Organize İşler.”
