Ultimately, Abbie realized that she didn’t have the skills or understanding of dogs to fix the relationship between Walter and Daisy, leading her to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome Daisy.
Abbie detailed how she had tried various solutions, such as relocating to the Northern Rivers to give the dogs time to adjust, sending Daisy to boarding school, and seeking advice from dog trainers and vets. Unfortunately, Walter’s jealousy towards Daisy remained unresolved, prompting Abbie to make the difficult decision to rehome Daisy. Abbie stressed that the decision was not based on the difficulty of raising a puppy, but rather on the realization that she couldn’t fix the relationship between her two dogs. She rehomed Daisy with a good friend’s sister in Brisbane, ensuring that she went to a loving and caring home.
