A dangerous incident occurred at around 17.00 in Erdek Düzler Işıkları Intersection. A 12-ton marble block, which was on the trailer of a truck traveling from Erdek to Bandırma, fell onto the road by breaking the trailer’s cover.
Fortunately, no vehicles were passing by at the moment the marble fell, preventing any loss of life or injuries.
Efforts to remove the marble block from the road using a crane have begun.
The incident caused a temporary traffic jam in the area, as authorities worked to clear the road and ensure the safety of motorists.
Drivers in the area were advised to take alternate routes to avoid delays while the cleanup operation was underway.
