rewrite this title Mary Cosby allegedly calls Lisa Barlow’s son, 12, the R-word amid ‘RHOSLC’ production

During production for “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” Season 5, Mary Cosby allegedly called Lisa Barlow’s 12-year-old son, Henry, a derogatory term, causing tension among the cast. The incident reportedly occurred during a heated argument earlier this month, with Barlow’s castmates expressing their disgust at Cosby’s alleged use of the slur. Barlow, who was very upset about the incident, shares Henry, nicknamed “Baby Gorgeous,” and an older son, Jack, with her husband John Barlow.

Despite the initial conflict, Lisa and Cosby have apparently resolved their differences and are currently filming for a cast trip in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It remains uncertain what led to Cosby’s verbal attack on Lisa’s son and whether this incident will be shown on the upcoming season of “RHOSLC.” Page Six has reached out to representatives for Lisa, Cosby, and Bravo for comment on the matter.

Cosby has a history of making controversial comments on camera, including calling former cast member Jen Shah a “Mexican thug” during Season 2 of “RHOSLC.” She later apologized to Shah, acknowledging her poor judgment in using those words and clarifying that she did not intend to target the Mexican culture. However, one month after this incident, Cosby faced backlash once again for making a racially charged remark to another cast member of Vietnamese descent, Jennie Nguyen.

In addition to her questionable statements, Cosby has been accused of running her church like a cult, as detailed by former parishioners in a shocking exposé. These former members claimed that Cosby pressured them to donate to the church while living a lavish lifestyle herself, and used intimidation tactics to keep them in line. Cosby has denied these allegations, stating that she believes in her church and refuting claims of any cult-like behavior within the congregation.

Having been part of the original “RHOSLC” cast since its premiere in 2020, Cosby has faced criticism for her controversial behavior both on and off the show. After taking a break from filming during Season 3, she returned as a “friend of” the cast for Season 4. It is unclear in what capacity she has filmed for Season 5, as her status as a full-time or recurring cast member has not been announced. “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” can be streamed on Peacock for viewers interested in following the drama surrounding Cosby and her co-stars.

Overall, the allegations of Cosby using derogatory language towards Lisa Barlow’s son add to the ongoing controversy surrounding the reality TV star. Despite her history of making controversial statements and facing criticism for her actions, Cosby remains a central figure in the “RHOSLC” franchise. Fans of the show will have to wait and see how this latest incident plays out on screen and whether it will impact Cosby’s involvement in future seasons of the popular reality series.
