Two organizers who were trying to smuggle migrants out of the country have also been processed.
As part of a planned intelligence operation carried out by the Manisa Provincial Gendarmerie Command Intelligence Branch Directorate, it was discovered that individuals named M.O and H.O were planning to illegally take irregular migrants out of the country by sea.
After it was determined that the suspects had gone to Izmir, the teams began to track them. Two vehicles, in which the suspect individuals were present, were caught in the Urla district of Izmir with a total of 27 irregular migrants as a result of a joint operation by the Manisa and Izmir Provincial Gendarmerie Commands.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the two organizers for the crime of migrant smuggling, while the captured irregular migrants were deported after the completion of their proceedings.
