The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that temperatures in Istanbul will drop starting today, with occasional heavy rainfall expected until Sunday. According to AKOM data, it is expected that temperatures will decrease to a range of 13-17 degrees as the wind strengthens from the north.
Until Sunday, scattered heavy rainfall transitions are predicted to occur throughout the province. Western regions of Turkey, including Istanbul, will be affected by cool and rainy weather starting today.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Management Department, based on AKOM data, predicts that temperatures, which have been close to summer values in the range of 25-28 degrees all week, will drop to a range of 13-17 degrees as the wind strengthens from the north (20-50km/h) towards spring values.
It is expected that scattered heavy rainfall transitions will occur throughout the province until Sunday. In Istanbul, it is anticipated that temperatures will be 1-3 degrees below seasonal norms until April 21, and from April 22-30, temperatures are expected to be around seasonal norms or 1-3 degrees above.
