The caves formed as a result of excavation works carried out in the Tuz Mountain in the Tuzluca district have been converted into a Salt Therapy Center.
Located meters underground, the therapy center, with walls, ceiling, and floor made entirely of salt, was opened to service following environmental arrangements and lighting done by the governorship and district governorship in 2022.
As a result of the works, the caves providing services for respiratory tract disorders hosted a large number of visitors during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Throughout the holiday, 10 thousand visitors from neighboring provinces as well as Nakhchivan, Georgia, and Iran visited the salt caves.
