A seven-mile stretch of the M25 is set to be closed between junction nine and ten in May for improvements, with a diversion route of 19 miles on the A3 and A243. The closure is part of a £317 million project to enhance junction 10, involving the installation of a new bridge and gantry. Motorists have been urged to avoid unnecessary travel and follow diversion signs to minimize delays. The project aims to increase lanes, redesign the junction layout, and improve traffic flow for safer and more efficient access to and from the M25 while reducing pollution from traffic congestion. The closure is the second of five planned weekend closures as part of the ongoing improvement works.

National Highways has alerted drivers of expected delays on the M25 due to the closure, advising avoiding the area unless necessary and allowing extra time for travel. Deviations have been planned for the closure weekend in May, outlining routes for all vehicles except over-height vehicles. Additional weekend closures are planned for the M25 to complete the improvements until 2024. Drivers are advised to follow the diversion routes and not to rely on GPS devices for navigation. By following the signed diversions, drivers can avoid Ultra Low Emission Zone charges applicable in London. The closure in May is part of efforts to enhance Junction 10 for better traffic operations and safety.

The ongoing Junction 10 improvement scheme on the M25 involves various enhancements like new lanes, redesigned junction layout, and a bridge installation. The aim is to create a smoother traffic flow while improving access to and from the M25 for drivers. The project intends to reduce air pollution from traffic congestion and make it easier for vehicles to enter and exit the motorway. The closures are critical to completing the works as efficiently as possible while minimizing disruption to road users. Drivers are encouraged to comply with diversion routes, adhere to safety guidelines, and avoid non-essential travel during the closures to ensure a successful project completion.

The closure on the M25 in May marks the second of five planned weekend closures as part of the Junction 10 improvement works. The closure will involve the installation of concrete beams for a new bridge and gantry, requiring extensive work over the weekend. National Highways have urged drivers to comply with diversion routes and avoid the closure area if possible. By following the planned diversions, drivers can help minimize delays and ensure smooth traffic operations during the closure. The ongoing project aims to transform the M25 Junction 10 for better traffic management, safety, and pollution reduction, making it crucial for drivers to adhere to travel advisories and diversions.

The closure of the M25 for the Junction 10 improvement works in May is part of a comprehensive project to enhance traffic operations and safety at the junction. The closure will allow for the installation of critical infrastructure, including a new bridge and gantry. Drivers have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel during the closure and follow diversion routes provided by National Highways. By complying with diversion plans and avoiding the closure area, drivers can help ensure a successful completion of the project with minimal disruptions.
