Through intelligence efforts, a foreign national named A.A. who had entered the country illegally and was assessed as being capable of participating in terrorist activities was detected. It was also found that the suspect had been involved in armed activities within the PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG terrorist organization in Syria between 2017-2018.
Following the intelligence gathering, the location where the foreign suspect A.A. was hiding was identified. The suspect was apprehended in the Şehitkamil district of Gaziantep through an operation carried out by gendarmerie teams coordinated by the Gaziantep Public Prosecutor’s Office.
