Chef Mike Haracz, popular on TikTok as @chefmikeharacz, is known for revealing McDonald’s biggest secrets. Recently, he shared details from the McDonald’s Worldwide Convention in Barcelona, Spain, including menu items that Americans may never have the chance to try. Haracz mentioned three items that were showcased at the convention, hinting that they might not be available in the US.
At the convention held from April 8 to April 11, Haracz disclosed that potato wedges, a menu item in several international locations, are available at the McDonald’s restaurant in their corporate building. However, he explained that they may not be offered beyond that because they compete with French fries, which are a staple menu item for McDonald’s and generate significant revenue.
Another exclusive item Chef Haracz mentioned was the Lotus Biscoff Mcflurry with caramel, a sweet treat found in restaurants in Cyprus and Germany. Although this dessert utilizes a popular cookie, Biscoff, Haracz indicated that it may not be available in the US. He also expressed his desire for the spicy black pepper garlic McNuggets, another item from the convention that could be a hit among customers.
Spicy black pepper garlic McNuggets are currently available in Japan, offering a unique flavor profile that could appeal to a broader audience. Haracz questioned why these McNuggets were not available everywhere, showing his disappointment that his suggestions were not considered by McDonald’s during his time working with the corporation. He turned to his viewers to ask about obscure McDonald’s menu items or international items they would like to see on US menus.
In response to Haracz’s query, his followers shared a variety of foods they enjoyed from McDonald’s international menus. Some mentioned items like the McSpicy Paneer from India, the McKroket from Amsterdam, the New Zealand Boss Burger, and the Kiwi Burger from New Zealand. Others spoke about the shrimp spring wrap from Russia, the Chicken Maharaja from India, and the Chocnut Sundaes recently released in the Philippines, expressing their enthusiasm for trying diverse McDonald’s offerings available around the world.
