The weekly roundup of fashion drops, hotel openings, restaurant debuts, and celeb-studded cultural happenings in NYC is a curated guide to the best things to see, shop, taste, and experience around the city. This week, the luxury list includes events such as Jeremy Strong and Michael Imperioli facing off on stage, the Whitney Biennial drawing crowds of art lovers, and Macy’s Flower Show getting ready to bloom.

The 81st Whitney Biennial opened to the general public this week after members had early access. Titled “Even Better Than the Real Thing,” the exhibition features seventy-one artists presenting the most relevant art and ideas of our time. In addition to gallery spaces, film and performance programs will be available online. Tickets are available at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Diane Von Furstenberg has partnered with her granddaughter Tatiana on a collection for Target, set to drop soon. The collection includes iconic wrap dresses, beauty items like sheet masks, sleep masks, and home items such as furniture available for made-to-order in classic prints. The collaboration will be available at Target.

London-based skate label Palace has launched a line of adult and kids clothing with Gap, known for its ’90s cool factor. The collection includes preppy classics like varsity jackets, oxfords, rugby shirts, track suits, board shorts, cargo pants, and logo hoodies. The Palace Gap collection is available for purchase at Gap stores.

An adaptation of the Ibsen classic “An Enemy of the People” starring Jeremy Strong and Michael Imperioli brings a timely storyline to the Broadway stage. The play involves a small-town doctor, polluted water, and a potential lockdown. Despite its serious themes, the staging is relatively brief and involves a shot of aquavit for the audience during a 10-minute pause. “An Enemy of the People” is playing at the Circle In The Square Theatre.

Macy’s Herald Square is hosting its 49th annual flower show, transforming the store into a larger-than-life garden with thousands of blooms, plants, and trees. The event is free to the public and runs through April 7. This year, there is a fragrant pop-up celebrating Christian Dior Parfums’ first fragrance, “Miss Dior.” Guests can sample the reinterpretation of the historic parfum by Dior Perfume Creation Director Francis Kurkdjian in the “Miss Dior” Gallery at Macy’s Herald Square.
