A Los Angeles woman spent a whopping $20 on one single strawberry at the upscale grocery store Erewhon.
Content creator Alyssa Antoci shared her very pricey berry on TikTok on Saturday, showing that the single strawberry comes concealed in a plastic case branded with the seller’s name, ELLY AMAI.
The “organic single berry” is imported from Kyoto, Japan, and has a price tag of $19 at the California-based supermarket.
“Apparently it’s the best tasting strawberry in the entire world,” Antoci said in her video.
After she popped off the plastic covering, she revealed that the strawberry was sitting on a “little tray” that she held as she bit into the fruit.
“Wow. That is the best strawberry. That’s crazy,” the 21-year-old influencer said while sitting outside of an Erewhon location.
