President Trump cracked a joke using an edited SpongeBob SquarePants meme Sunday to poke fun at outrage over Elon Musk’s demand that federal workers explain what they did at work last week.

The 47th president appeared to signal his approval with Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) orchestrating an email sent out by the Office of Personnel Management over the weekend that asked employees to list five accomplishments by 11:59 p.m. Monday.

Musk then claimed on X that it would be assumed those that who don’t reply are resigning.

Trump, 78, blasted out a meme that showed the popular Nickelodeon character with a pad of paper and pencil as he appeared deep in thought while a second pad held by SpongeBob’s buddy, Patrick Star shows an edited list titled “Got Done Last Week.”

The fake list included “cried about Trump” and “cried about Elon,” as well as “Made it to the office for once.”

The list rounds out with “Read some emails” and “cried about Trump and Elon some more.”

Musk shared the same image Sunday on X and in a separate post called the questions posed to the federal workforce “a very basic pulse check.”

But one union, the American Federation of Government Employees, blasted the request in a letter to acting director of the Office of Personnel Management Charles Ezell.

“We believe that employees have no obligation to respond to this unlawful email absent other lawful direction,” wrote AFGE National President Everett Kelley, who represents 800,000 workers.

Democratic Sen. Tina Smith, who represents Minnesota, called the email “the ultimate d–k boss move from Musk,” in a social media rant Sunday.

“I bet a lot of people have had an experience like this with a bad boss — there’s an email in your inbox on Saturday night saying, ‘Prove to me your worthiness by Monday or else.’ I’m on the side of the workers, not the billionaire a–hole bosses,” she wrote.

Some agency leaders have instructed their staffers not to reply, including at the FBI, Department of Defense and the State Department.
