rewrite this title Boyfriend’s comments about ‘inappropriate’ outfit baffles women everywhere: ‘Sexualize anything’

Summarize this content to 2000 words in 6 paragraphs

A young woman has shared a snap of herself wearing a grey tracksuit set seeking advice after her boyfriend labeled the conservative outfit as “inappropriate”.

The young woman shared the image of herself, complete with pink bows on the jumper and slippers with a smiley face on them, explaining her boyfriend yelled at her over the outfit.

He labelled it “inappropriate”.

When the woman demanded to know why he thought that, the man said it all had to do with the brand name.

“The pink bow is suggestive. The brand is called Edikted and he thinks it means I am addicted to d–k,” the woman recalled her boyfriend explaining in a since-deleted comment.

Many social media users were quick to ask for more information about where she was going.

“Inappropriate in what context? Going to his mother’s funeral or sitting at home watching Netflix,” one asked.

Another commented: “Pahhhh … not funny really but sounds exactly like my ex. He would sexualize anything and I’d pay for it.”

“Suggestive? How? She’s as covered in baggy clothes as you can get. Does he want her to wear a bag on her head? What a loon,” one social media user added.

One revealed: “Bows are suggestive? Suggestive of what? Liking bows? Supporting Cancer research?”

“Inappropriate to maybe go out to a restaurant or meet his family for the first time. But you look fine? Cute and cozy,” another added.

One social media user revealed: “I had a boyfriend who wouldn’t let me wear colorful eyeliner because I was looking for ‘male attention.’

“He also would get angry if I wore dresses to formal events. Please run while you can because these small everyday things he was controlling slowly got bigger and bigger. Went from not allowed colourful eyeliner to not being allowed friends. RUN.”.

“May this love never find me again. Your boyfriend is a control freak,” another social media user commented.

Donny Galella, a stylist who often works events such as the Brownlows and Dally Ms, weighed in on the discussion.

“Women should just wear what makes them feel good and not dress for other people,” he told news.com.au.

“I see it every week. I might be in a fitting room with a client and she might say to me, ‘I really love it but I don’t know if my partner will like it.’ I tell them not to worry, that it’s not about their partner.

“It’s about you, don’t dress for your partner.”

He added the outfit was only “inappropriate” if she was wearing that to a wedding, but added it wasn’t provocative in any way.
