rewrite this title Billy Ray Cyrus’ family ‘genuinely worried’ after disastrous Trump inauguration performance, son Trace says

Summarize this content to 2000 words in 6 paragraphs

Billy Ray Cyrus’ son penned an open letter revealing their family is “genuinely worried” about the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer after his disastrous performance at President Trump’s post-inauguration Liberty Ball.

Trace Cyrus took to Instagram on Wednesday to issue a public plea to Billy Ray to seek help, saying he “barely” recognized his father when the Grammy winner took the stage at Monday’s event in Washington, DC.

“Since my earliest memories all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever. I wanted to be just like you. The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life,” Trace began his lengthy message.

“Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you,” he continued.

Trace, 35, acknowledged that Billy Ray, 63, “may be upset” with his social media post, but he “really could care less at this point.”

“Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away,” the Metro Station guitarist wrote of his sisters, Brandi Cyrus, Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus.

“Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life and you haven’t even been there for her. That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me she still idolizes you though. We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns,” he added.

Trace warned Billy Ray that he does not appear “healthy,” saying “everyone is noticing it” following his performance celebrating Trump’s return to the White House.

“As I write this with tears in my eyes I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon. I love you Dad,” the concerned son wrote.

Trace also shared that he is “over a year and a half clean from alcohol,” which he claimed the “Old Town Road” crooner was unaware of because they “haven’t talked in a while.”

“I don’t know what you’re struggling with exactly but I think I have a pretty good idea & I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help. You know how to reach me. Till that day comes I will continue to pray for you,” he concluded his post, insinuating his father is also struggling with his sobriety.

Reps for Billy Ray did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The country singer, who is also the father of sons Christopher Cyrus and Braison Cyrus, raised eyebrows Monday when he stumbled through his two-song set at the Liberty Ball without backing music and at one point asked the audience whether they wanted him to “just get the hell off the stage.”

Billy Ray subsequently issued a statement blaming faulty equipment but also defended his performance, saying in part, “I wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar and monitors worked or not. I was there because President Donald J. Trump invited me.”
