It was a fight before a flight.
Onlookers captured the wild moment when an enraged passenger punched an employee at an airport in Malaysia.
The altercation was sparked by a check-in issue at Terminal 1 of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Nov.10, according to a report from Viral Press.
“The incident stemmed from a misunderstanding between the two after the passenger was late during the checking-in process,” District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Azman Shariat told the Star while relaying the dramatic scene. “This then led to a fight.”
In the dramatic footage, the passenger in green is seen raining punches upon the gound employee in front of the check-in counter.
Finally, a security guard separates the two, after which the shaken staffer shouts and points at the flyer while he’s being escorted away.
Azman Shariat said the worker was “slightly injured” during the scuffle, but no arrests have been made so far.
This incident joins a long line of assaults by incensed passengers on aviation employees of late.
Earlier this month, an intoxicated Russian plane passenger was filmed attacking a flight attendant and then lunging at a police officer when she was detained on arrival, causing her child to cry.
In an incident closer to home in August, an outraged passenger threw a computer monitor at Frontier Airlines employees at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport over a missed flight.
Perhaps the wildest instance of passenger-on-employee assault occurred in 2021 when California’s Brian Hsu punched an American Airlines flight attendant, breaking her nose.
