Mark Cuban’s Assets in Trump International Tower Outvalue Trump’s

Billionaire investor and Shark Tank star Mark Cuban has come under scrutiny for owning a 3,700-square-foot condo in the Trump International Tower at One Central Park West in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Despite being a prominent supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris during the presidential election, Cuban has no issue with former President Donald Trump as the landlord of his $13.5 million condo, according to reports from The New York Post.

Cuban’s real estate portfolio in the Trump International Hotel and Tower is now worth more than Trump’s own holdings in the building. He purchased his first condo in the building for $13.8 million in 2000 and bought another unit for $3.3 million the following year. Despite considering selling the two condos, Cuban still owns them both, which are now estimated to be worth $13 million in total, according to Forbes.

In contrast, Trump owns a 460-square-foot unit in the same building, along with retail space and the building’s garage. His total commercial interests are valued at $4.9 million after debt, making his entire portfolio in the Trump International Tower worth just over $5 million. The building was originally known as the Gulf and Western Building before being redeveloped by Trump, the Galbreath Company, and General Electric Investment Corporation in the 1990s.

Despite reports that the Trump Organization was considering rebranding the tower without the president’s name in 2019, the condo board ultimately voted to keep the Trump signage. As of Monday, Trump is estimated to be worth $5.8 billion, while Cuban is valued at $5.7 billion, with most of Trump’s wealth tied up in shares of his social media platform Truth Social. Meanwhile, Cuban’s fortune comes from the 1999 sale of Broadcast.com for $5.7 billion to Yahoo and the sale of the majority of the Dallas Mavericks for $2 billion.

Following Trump’s victory and Cuban’s congratulations via Twitter to Trump and Elon Musk, who had campaigned for Trump, Cuban deleted all his previous tweets promoting Harris. When asked about this decision by Forbes, Cuban simply replied, “I’ll pass.” Cuban owns a significant amount of property, including a $23 million mansion in Dallas, a $29 million beachfront home in Laguna Beach, and the entire town of Mustang in Texas.

Overall, while Cuban’s relationship with Trump’s real estate holdings may raise questions, his own wealth and investments are diverse and substantial. Despite having supported Democratic candidates like Harris in the past, Cuban remains a significant figure in the business and investment world, with a net worth comparable to Trump’s and a wide array of assets and properties to his name.
