Seven suspects who were detained as part of an investigation into the terrorist organization DHKP/C have completed their legal procedures at the police station. The suspects were taken to Istanbul Courthouse and brought before the duty magistrate court after giving their statements to the prosecutor, who requested their arrest.
The court decided to arrest all seven suspects following their hearing. The investigation revealed that the suspects were involved in activities within the open-area organization called the Prisoners and Convicts’ Families Solidarity Association (TAYAD).
Following the prosecutor’s decision to issue arrest warrants, simultaneous operations were carried out at nine addresses in Kağıthane, Sancaktepe, Şişli, Kadıköy, Tuzla, Eyüpsultan, and Sarıyer by law enforcement officers. During the operation, seven suspects were taken into custody, and a large number of organization brochures and banners were seized.
The suspects were brought before the court, and after their statements were taken, the prosecutor requested their arrest. The duty magistrate court decided to detain all seven suspects involved in activities within the DHKP/C terrorist organization.
The investigation found that the suspects were operating within the TAYAD organization, which is known for its links to the DHKP/C terrorist group. The suspects were detained in simultaneous operations conducted at multiple addresses in Istanbul, where a significant amount of propaganda material was seized.
