During inspections, it was found that the wastewater from these facilities did not meet the standard regulations for treatment and was being discharged into the environment in a manner that could cause pollution. The municipality was fined 929,000 TL for the Torbalı facility, 464,585 TL for the Menemen facility, and 1,161,568 TL for the Kiraz facility. Additionally, the municipality was fined 1,299,084 TL for improper waste disposal practices in Tire.
