The Naval Forces Command’s Wind-class TCG Poyraz assault boat from Çanakkale docked at the Izmit Yacht Marina as part of the events.
The agile and highly maneuverable 57.84-meter-long ship attracted visitors with its cannon and guided missile systems.
Visitor Hasan Ünal expressed pride in the defense industry works, stating, “We are expecting even better ones. We are excited to be visiting the Poyraz assault boat for the first time.”
The TCG Poyraz is equipped with a variety of weapons systems, including 76mm naval guns, 40mm anti-aircraft guns, and torpedoes.
In addition to its military capabilities, the ship is also designed for patrol and surveillance missions, making it a versatile asset for the Turkish Navy.
The visit provided an opportunity for the public to get a closer look at the capabilities of the Turkish Navy and the advanced technology that goes into the country’s defense industry.
