The Real Housewives franchise is expanding to London with the upcoming series The Real Housewives of London, which was announced during the first ever Hayu FanFest in London. The event featured panels with Real Housewives cast members and host Andy Cohen, with the announcement of the new series met with excitement from fans. The new series is set to premiere in late 2025 exclusively on Hayu, marking the streaming service’s first original series production.

The Real Housewives of London will be produced by Monkey, the same company behind British reality series Made in Chelsea. Cast members for the new series have not yet been announced, but the show is expected to follow the format of other Real Housewives installments, documenting the drama and relationships of a group of affluent British women. The announcement of The Real Housewives of London marks a significant milestone for Hayu as it expands its offerings with original content tailored to its loyal reality TV fan base.

The international Housewives franchise has seen success with other overseas installments such as Athens, Amsterdam, Rome, Melbourne, Munich, and more. The Real Housewives of Cheshire currently holds the title as the longest-running international Housewives series with 17 seasons. The addition of The Real Housewives of London adds to the growing list of international iterations of the franchise, providing fans with more drama and entertainment centered around the lives of wealthy and glamorous women.

Hendrik McDermott, managing director of Hayu, expressed excitement about the new series, highlighting the significance of London as an iconic location in the U.K. and a core market for Hayu. The commissioning of The Real Housewives of London as Hayu’s first original series is seen as a key milestone in the growth of the all-reality streaming service, further expanding its reach and appeal to fans of the popular franchise. The exclusive home of the new series, Hayu aims to super-serve its loyal fans with original content that enhances their viewing experience.

With the announcement of The Real Housewives of London, there is anticipation among fans for the latest installment in the iconic Housewives franchise. Helen Kruger Bratt, managing director of Monkey, emphasized that Hayu is the ideal destination for the beloved reality series, providing audiences with direct access to the drama surrounding the new set of British Housewives. As the 30th international iteration of the Housewives format, The Real Housewives of London promises to deliver the entertainment and excitement that fans have come to love and expect from the franchise.
