Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office is continuing its investigation into individuals suspected of being involved in the military structure of the FETÖ terrorist organization. The suspects are accused of using the secret communication method known as “ByLock,” contacting organization members through payphones, staying in organization houses, attending meetings and discussions, and being part of the current structure of the organization.
Out of the 15 suspects who were detained as part of the investigation, 2 have been released by the police after their questioning at the station. The remaining 13 suspects underwent a health check-up before being transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan. Following their statements to the prosecutor, 4 of the suspects were arrested by the Istanbul Duty Peace Criminal Court, while the other 9 were released under judicial control measures.
The investigation is focused on gathering evidence and testimonies from the suspects regarding their activities within the FETÖ terrorist organization. Those found to be using “ByLock” as a means of communication have been specifically targeted, along with individuals who have been found to have participated in meetings and discussions organized by the organization.
