Sánchez questioned why the Popular Party had not demanded accountability from Díaz Ayuso and criticized her for allegedly benefiting from her partner’s enrichment during the pandemic.
Sánchez sought to turn the tables on the Popular Party, which had called for García Ortiz to step down or for the Government to take action to remove him from his position. He accused Díaz Ayuso of indirect involvement in her partner’s activities and demanded that the head of the Popular Party in Galicia, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, hold her accountable. Sánchez also referenced previous cases of alleged misconduct in other political parties to highlight the hypocrisy of the Popular Party’s demands for accountability.
