Each week, Alexa curates a list of the hottest fashion drops, hotel openings, restaurant debuts, and celebrity events happening in New York City. This guide provides a curated list of the best things to see, shop, taste, and experience around the city. This week’s luxury list features Andrew Scott on stage, Axel Arigato’s first U.S. store opening, and the Brooklyn Heights showhouse showcasing major interior design.

Andrew Scott, known for his roles as a hot priest, lonesome writer, and serial killer, will be reprising his acclaimed performance in “Vanya,” a radical new adaptation of Chekhov’s “Uncle Vanya.” The Olivier Award-winning production that he co-created will have its U.S. premiere at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in the West Village in March. Scott expressed his excitement, stating his love for the play, its characters, his colleagues, and New York. Super fans can already purchase tickets for the opening night on March 18 at VanyaOnStage.com.

Axel Arigato, a Swedish brand often mistaken for Japanese, has opened its first U.S. store in New York City. Located on the corner of Lafayette and Prince, the store was designed by Halleroed and features a minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic. In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the brand is stocking the store with footwear, ready-to-wear styles, and a limited edition capsule collection created specifically for its NYC debut. Fans can visit AxelArigato.com for more information.

The latest Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse, set in a late Greek Revival townhouse on “Doctor’s Row,” is now open at 182 Clinton Street. Sixteen interior designers have transformed the space to inspire the public while supporting a charitable cause. Notably, the house was once home to Bill and Lois Wilson, who founded Alcoholics Anonymous in 1934. Proceeds from the showhouse benefit the Brooklyn Heights Association and it will be open until November 3. Visit BrooklynDesignerShowhouse.com for more details.

“Bombshell,” an exhibit of photographs by Ethan James Green at Kapp Kapp, features black-and-white portraits capturing the lives of his New York friends, including prominent figures like actress Hari Nef and fashion director Dara Allen. The exhibit subverts the traditional concept of a “bombshell” by exploring femininity, glamor, and sex appeal through the eyes of the models. For those who cannot visit the gallery, a limited edition book has been published by Baron Books. Check out KappKapp.com for more information.

Salomon, a brand originating in the French Alps 75 years ago, has opened a pop-up store in Soho at 169 Spring Street. The brand’s mission is to help people discover the best versions of themselves through a deeper connection with nature. The pop-up will be open until January and features their Sportstyle offerings, including popular items like the ACS, Speedcross 3, XT-6, and Snowclog. Fans of the brand can visit Salomon.com for more details.
