Minister Murat Kurum shared images of the ongoing construction in Adıyaman İndere on his social media account. He mentioned that they are currently working in 11 provinces, at 159 construction sites, with 153,000 workers. Adıyaman İndere is Turkey’s largest construction site with a 5 million square meter area. They have identified homes for nearly 7,000 families and are working day and night for the construction of 9,603 houses.

The Ministry also stated that construction processes are continuing in the provinces affected by the earthquake, and in Adıyaman, 8,000 workers and 750 machines are working on the construction of housing and living areas. It was announced that within the project, 16,433 permanent homes and businesses will be built, with 6,830 housing units already being allocated and construction ongoing for the remaining 9,603 units, all designed to be no more than four stories in accordance with horizontal architecture.

The Emlak Konut Adıyaman Regional Director Mehmet Ersev Kuzdan highlighted the choice of the rocky terrain in Indere for construction, stating that they use a tunnel formwork system for construction and ensure earthquake-resistant homes. He reassured the public by stating that they are building on solid ground to create sturdy structures. Kuzdan also mentioned the completion of a mosque within the project area, emphasizing that they are not only building homes but also creating a safe, modern city.

Minister Murat Kurum’s post on social media showcased the massive scale of the project, with thousands of workers and machines actively contributing to the construction efforts. The focus on providing stable housing for families in need reflects the government’s commitment to addressing housing shortages and ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens. The efforts in Adıyaman Indere serve as a significant step towards improving living conditions and infrastructure in earthquake-affected regions.

The detailed information provided by the Ministry and project officials indicates a comprehensive approach to urban development, with a focus on both housing needs and community infrastructure. The emphasis on earthquake-resistant construction methods and the construction of essential facilities such as mosques highlight the holistic approach taken in creating a sustainable and resilient living environment in Adıyaman. The commitment to constructing quality housing and living spaces showcases the government’s dedication to addressing the long-term needs of the communities affected by the earthquake, fostering stability and resilience in the region.
