Discussions also delved into investigating financial crimes involving cryptocurrencies. The event highlighted efforts to prevent the spread of synthetic drugs, particularly Fentanyl, to prevent further casualties. The program also featured a working dinner on Artificial Intelligence, with international guests discussing the risks and opportunities presented by the technology in the field of security and crime prevention.
The following day’s discussions revolved around migration strategies, particularly focusing on combating human trafficking, with specific attention to the Africa region. Colleagues from Algeria and Libya, along with the High Commissioner for Refugees and the Director-General of the International Organization for Migration, participated in the debates. The agenda aimed to address the heinous crime of migrant trafficking and develop strategies to combat it effectively, highlighting the need for regional cooperation to tackle this complex issue.
