Reports show that NFL kicker Brandon McManus will not face league discipline following allegations of sexual assault

Veteran kicker Brandon McManus will not face any discipline from the NFL after an investigation into sexual assault claims found insufficient evidence of violating the personal conduct policy. McManus, a free agent since the lawsuit, was accused by two women of sexual assault during a charter flight to London while playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had signed with the Washington Commanders but was released as the investigation played out. With the NFL’s decision not to pursue discipline, McManus is expected to quickly find a new team as many are likely to call him.

Earlier this month, a judge ruled in favor of McManus, stating that the two women’s usage of anonymous names did not meet criteria for party anonymity under Florida law. The case was ultimately dismissed, with attorney Tony Buzbee, who also represented women in the Deshaun Watson scandal, stating that this was anticipated. The women involved have stated that they intend to comply with the court’s order and will continue to pursue the case.

The two flight attendants claimed that McManus acted inappropriately by rubbing and grinding himself against them during the flight to London. They alleged that the flight became a party for the Jaguars, with McManus throwing money at the attendants in exchange for inappropriate dances. One of McManus’s teammates reportedly appeared ashamed of his actions, while McManus smirked and walked away from the other attendant when confronted. Despite these allegations, the NFL’s investigation found insufficient evidence to discipline McManus.

McManus played nine seasons with the Denver Broncos before joining Jacksonville, where he had a successful season, making 30 out of 37 field goal attempts. Now that the NFL has decided not to discipline him, McManus is expected to quickly find a new team in the league. Teams are likely to reach out to him, given his track record as a reliable and experienced kicker. Fans can follow updates on McManus’s situation through Fox News Digital’s sports coverage and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

In light of the judge’s ruling, the two women involved in the case have expressed their intentions to continue pursuing the matter. Despite the dismissal of the case, they are prepared to stand behind their charges publicly, as fairness requires, according to the judge. The attorney representing the women stated that they have no intention to run and hide, indicating their commitment to seeing the case through. With their determination, the case may continue to unfold, even though the legal proceedings have taken a turn in McManus’s favor.
