At the trial held at the Diyarbakır 6th Heavy Penal Court, defendant Sadullah Yoldaş did not attend, while the lawyers and relatives of the injured and deceased in the earthquake were present in the courtroom. The victims, who suffered in the earthquake, stated that they lost their loved ones in the rubble of the building and demanded that the defendant they complained about be punished. The public prosecutor expressed his opinion that the defendant Yoldaş should be punished in his final opinion.
After the defense statements, the court sentenced Yoldaş to 16 years and 3 months in prison for “causing the death and injury of multiple people through conscious negligence” and ordered his arrest.

The trial at the Diyarbakır 6th Heavy Penal Court saw defendant Sadullah Yoldaş absent, with lawyers and relatives of earthquake victims in attendance. Victims spoke of losing loved ones in the rubble of a building, seeking punishment for the defendant they had filed complaints against. The public prosecutor recommended punishment for Yoldaş in his closing statement.
During the trial, Yoldaş’ defense lawyer claimed that his client had not committed the crime he was accused of and requested acquittal. Following the defense statements, the court made the decision to sentence Yoldaş to 16 years and 3 months in prison and ordered his immediate arrest for the crime of “causing the death and injury of multiple people through conscious negligence.”

At the trial held at the Diyarbakır 6th Heavy Penal Court, defendant Sadullah Yoldaş was not present, but the courtroom was filled with lawyers and relatives of those affected by the earthquake. Victims shared their stories of losing family members in the collapsed building and demanded justice for the accused. In his final statement, the public prosecutor recommended that Yoldaş be punished for his actions.
Yoldaş’ defense attorney, however, argued that his client was innocent of the charges and pleaded for his acquittal. Following the conclusion of the defense arguments, the court deliberated and ultimately handed down a verdict sentencing Yoldaş to 16 years and 3 months in prison on the grounds of “consciously causing the deaths and injuries of multiple individuals.” The court also ruled for Yoldaş’ immediate arrest following the verdict.
