William Canestaro, who previously served as the managing director at Washington Research Foundation, has departed from his role after eight years with the organization. The Washington Research Foundation works to help universities and nonprofit institutions commercialize their technologies. Canestaro has also been involved as a board member for multiple startups and is affiliated with the University of Washington’s School of Pharmacy. Additionally, Milkana Brace, Executive Vice President of Consumer Product at Remitly, has joined the board of directors at the Technology Alliance. Brace has a background in founding and leading startups, and has held leadership positions at companies such as Expedia and Groupon.
Ken Suzuki, who spent over two decades at scientific instruments company Agilent Technologies, has assumed the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Nautilus Biotechnology. Nautilus is based in Seattle and has developed a platform for analyzing proteomes, the proteins produced by an organism. Suzuki is working out of the startup’s R&D headquarters in the Bay Area. In other news, Elizabeth George, former head of marketing for Statsig in Bellevue, Washington, has left the company. Additionally, Katie Curnutte has launched a new business in the Seattle area called Wagl Coaching, which specializes in ADHD coaching. She is also the President and Co-Founder of Kingston Marketing Group.
