Broncos Super Bowl Champion Linebacker Allen Aldridge passes away at 52 years old

Former NFL star Allen Aldridge, who won a Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos, has passed away at the age of 52. He spent eight seasons in the NFL, four with the Broncos and four with the Detroit Lions. Aldridge had been serving as the head coach for Fort Bend Bush High School in Richmond, Texas, since 2008. Before his NFL career, he played for the Houston Cougars in college. The team released a statement mourning his loss, as did the Broncos.

Aldridge was a standout player during his time at the University of Houston, where he was known for his exceptional talent. He was drafted by the Broncos in the second round of the 1994 NFL Draft and went on to have a breakout year in 1995. He later joined the Detroit Lions and had a successful career, totaling 10.5 sacks, 482 tackles, and other impressive stats over 128 games.

As a high school coach, Aldridge led his team to the playoffs multiple times, including a standout season in 2012 with a 10-2 record, which remains the best mark in the program’s history. He was well-respected by his players and the community for his coaching abilities and dedication to the game. Aldridge’s impact on the field and as a coach will be remembered by those who knew him.
