Former WWE Superstar ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin hints at possible WrestleMania 41 comeback: ‘I’m open to it’

Stone Cold” Steve Austin did not make an appearance at WrestleMania 40 as many had expected. The Undertaker, John Cena, and others made surprise appearances during the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. Rhodes ultimately won the championship with the help of his allies in the ring. Despite the high anticipation for Austin to return to the ring, the 59-year-old legend has expressed that going to Philadelphia for the event was not something he was interested in. He believes that wrestling is a young man’s sport and thinks about one more match for fun, but reality sets in before he can take any action.

While Austin may not have been interested in traveling to Philadelphia for WrestleMania 40, he seems more willing to consider a possible appearance at WrestleMania 41, which will take place in Las Vegas, where he currently resides. Austin mentioned that he spends several trips a year in Las Vegas, so being just a few hundred miles away from the event may make it more feasible for him to participate if WWE were interested in having him. Despite being in shape for his racing venture, Austin admits that getting back in the ring for a match is not something he is actively pursuing, as he feels that his body may not be ready for the physical demands of wrestling after so many years away from the ring.

Austin reflected on a previous attempt at returning to the ring, where he realized that his body was not in the shape it once was for wrestling. He acknowledges the feedback he received from fellow wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, and Triple H, who pointed out various aspects of his readiness to return to wrestling. Despite the challenges he may face in getting back in the ring, Austin expresses a willingness to participate in WrestleMania if it aligns with what the company wants and if it can bring satisfaction to the audience. It remains to be seen if fans will see Austin back in the ring again after his brief match with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38.

In the world of professional wrestling, there is constant speculation about legendary wrestlers making comebacks and returning to the ring for one more match. Steve Austin, known as “Stone Cold,” has been a prominent figure in WWE history, but he has been hesitant to commit to another match due to the physical demands of the sport and the challenges of being away from the ring for many years. As fans eagerly anticipate the possibility of seeing Austin in action again, he remains focused on his other endeavors, such as his racing ventures, while keeping the door open to future WWE appearances if the circumstances are right.
