The burial, though mostly mental, was a way for her to say goodbye and make peace with the end of their relationship. Bristowe and Tartick had gotten engaged in May 2021 after two years of dating, before shocking fans with their separation announcement in August 2023. Bristowe had previously expressed feeling uneasy when Tartick moved on to a new relationship with Kat Stickler in June.
In private Facebook comments, Bristowe mentioned that the aftermath of the breakup hurt her more than people knew, due to reasons beyond what was publicly known. She clarified that she was not necessarily hurt, but rather working through anger and resentment. These comments were made as she navigated her feelings about the split and her ex moving on. Bristowe’s recent remarks about the breakup came shortly after she revealed her past romantic interest in Zac Clark, who got engaged to Tayshia Adams after meeting on her season of “The Bachelorette.”
Bristowe had been linked to Clark earlier in the year and disputed rumors of cheating on Tartick with Clark.
