Forty-one Palestinian civilians, ranging in age from eight months to 62 years, were flown to Malaysia on Friday for medical treatment after suffering injuries in the war in Gaza. The individuals were transported from Cairo onboard two Malaysian air force transport aircraft as part of a humanitarian mission. Malaysian Defence Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin emphasized that the mission was carried out purely out of humanitarian considerations and to demonstrate solidarity with the people of Palestine, condemning what he described as inhumane genocide.

Nordin highlighted that the injured Palestinians were carefully evaluated to ensure they were fit for the 19-hour flight with a stopover in Karachi, Pakistan. The presence of the injured civilians in Malaysia also highlights the country’s role as a benevolent nation willing to extend a helping hand to those in need, regardless of their nationality or religion.

In conclusion, the gesture of bringing the injured Palestinians to Malaysia for medical treatment symbolizes the country’s solidarity with the people of Palestine and its condemnation of the violence and suffering in Gaza.
