Lincoln has redesigned the Navigator three-row SUV for the 2025 model year, showcasing a technology-rich future for the brand. The Navigator, originally debuted in 1998, remains the flagship of the brand and attracts the youngest and most affluent clients. The new redesign features a fresh exterior design, updated interior options, and more luxury for second- and third-row passengers. Every body panel is new, with a signature light bar, larger Navigator badge, and more satin finishes replacing chrome. The split liftgate allows for easy access and hands-free operation, making it convenient for owners.

The new Navigator features a double light strip on the grille and a split tailgate that opens up and down simultaneously, similar to the BMW X5 and Range Rover. The second- and third-row seats have been improved, with enhanced rear-seat entertainment systems and luxury features like heating, cooling, and massage functionality. The front passengers are welcomed with a 48-inch widescreen display and a combination infotainment portal, along with a uniquely shaped steering wheel with both digital and physical controls. The interior design focuses on simplicity and luxury, offering a spa-like experience for the driver.

Blue Cruise, a hands-free, eyes-up assisted driving system, is standard on all 2025 Lincoln Navigators for four years, without any subscription charge. The technology upgrades bring the Navigator closer in line with competitors like the Cadillac Escalade, offering features like Pro Trailer Hitch Assist and Pro Trailer Backup Assist. The powertrain remains the same, with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive and adaptive suspension are standard, with drive modes for various driving styles.

Lincoln’s representatives acknowledge the competition from Cadillac and other brands, emphasizing the differences in brand personalities and catalogs. The Navigator is positioned as a sophisticated, quality-focused vehicle, while competitors may be more aggressive and showy. Lincoln aims to appeal to customers seeking a sanctuary and wellbeing in their vehicle. Order banks for the new Navigator open in October, with availability in dealerships expected next spring. Pricing has not been revealed, but the current version of the Navigator starts at $85,260, comparable to competitors like the Cadillac Escalade and Infiniti QX80. Overall, the redesigned Navigator offers a luxury SUV experience with advanced technology features and enhanced comfort for passengers.
