Russia’s Defense Ministry reports monthly mobilization of around 30,000 soldiers

The UK Defense Ministry reported that Russia is likely mobilizing around 30,000 people every month, according to Ukraine’s military intelligence. Russia is mobilizing around 1,000-1,100 recruits daily, indicating its ability to continue absorbing losses and conducting attacks aimed at wearing down Ukrainian forces. The report highlighted that Moscow’s shell and equipment superiority allows Russian forces to maintain an advantage in the ongoing war against Ukraine. With the end of the rigged presidential election, Russia could potentially carry out mobilization more openly, posing a threat to Ukraine’s security.

Despite Ukrainian claims of stabilization on the battlefield, the country is facing a dire need for shells and missiles. Russia is reportedly firing shells at a ratio of around 7:1 compared to Ukraine, leading to a significant imbalance in military capabilities. Delays in US military assistance, caused by disputes in Congress, have further impacted the battlefield, contributing to the loss of the key front-line city of Avdiivka. Russian troops have maintained a gradual advance west of the city, with reports suggesting that they may have taken control of two villages in Donetsk Oblast, Tonenke, and Orlivka, although this information was not confirmed by the Ukrainian military.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian soldiers repelled 20 attacks in the Avdiivka sector over the past day, including near Tonenke. While Russia has continued attacks along various points on the front line, they have made little progress in recent weeks. The situation on the battlefield remains tense, with Ukraine facing ongoing challenges and the need for continued support. The UK Defense Ministry emphasized the importance of international assistance in helping Ukraine defend its sovereignty and maintain stability in the region.

The ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia underscores the urgent need for support from the international community. The situation in eastern Ukraine remains volatile, with Russian mobilization posing a significant threat to Ukraine’s security. The imbalance in military capabilities, coupled with delays in US military assistance, has hampered Ukraine’s ability to defend itself effectively. As Russia continues its aggressive actions, Ukraine must rely on its allies for support and assistance in countering the threat posed by Moscow.

Efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and ensure the country’s sovereignty are crucial in the face of ongoing Russian aggression. The support of independent journalism plays a vital role in raising awareness of the situation in Ukraine and garnering international support. By joining the fight to support independent journalism in Ukraine, individuals can contribute to efforts to hold Russia accountable for its actions and help Ukraine defend itself against external threats. With continued international backing and assistance, Ukraine can work towards achieving stability and security in the region, despite the challenges it faces.
