The American Culture Quiz is a weekly test that covers unique national traits, trends, history, and people from the United States. This week’s quiz features questions about Oval Office newcomers, two eras in Hollywood history, some of the greatest baseball players, moments in rock ‘n’ roll history, and a hero of American independence from France. Can you get all 8 questions right in this quiz?

One of the questions in the quiz asks which president, who also served as VP, was elected to the Oval Office while still in the No. 2 seat. The answer choices include Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Thomas Jefferson, and Theodore Roosevelt. Another question asks about the origin of the all-American hamburger, which was invented by Danish immigrant Louis Lassen in 1900 in which state, according to the Library of Congress.

Another question relates to Molly Ringwald, a leading Hollywood actress during the Reagan era, and asks which classic 1980s teen flick she did not star in. The options are “Say Anything,” “The Breakfast Club,” “Pretty in Pink,” and “Sixteen Candles.” The quiz also asks about which Bronx Bomber holds the New York Yankees and American League records for most home runs by a rookie, with choices like Babe Ruth, Aaron Judge, Roger Maris, and Mickey Mantle.

The Moondog Coronation Ball in 1952 is considered the first-ever rock ‘n’ roll concert and took place in which American city. The options include Denver, Memphis, Cleveland, and Little Rock. Another question in the quiz focuses on a Frenchman who returned to the U.S. in August 1824 to celebrate his key role in the American Revolution, with answer choices like Napoleon III, Marquis de Lafayette, Comte de Rochambeau, and Pierre Charles L’Enfant.

The quiz rounds up with a question about Minnesota native Frances Ethel Gumm, who found worldwide stardom as which silver-screen icon? The choices are Bette Davis, Judy Garland, Donna Reed, and Winona Ryder. Finally, the quiz asks which former first lady of the United States has the Secret Service code name “Muse,” with options like Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton, Melania Trump, and Michelle Obama.
