The Narcotics Crimes Branch Directorate of the Provincial Security Directorate conducted various operations and applications from 1-22 July targeting suspects wanted for crimes of buying, accepting, possessing, and trading drugs. During the operations, a total of 63 suspects with prison sentences and 18 suspects wanted for questioning had their statements taken and were apprehended.

The detained suspects were taken to the police station for further processing. Among the captured individuals was a drug dealer who was wanted with a red bulletin. The teams were able to locate the 32-year-old Alexander Gustafsson, who was sought by Sweden for “money laundering” and “drug trafficking” offenses, in Istanbul. The suspect, who was found to be using a fake identity of Polish nationality, was located at an address in Besiktas, and he was apprehended during an operation.

It was revealed that the suspect, who was sentenced to 11 years and 8 months in prison in 2022 for drug trafficking through crypto and network websites, was extradited to Sweden after the necessary procedures. The successful operations by the Narcotics Crimes Branch Directorate led to the capture of several wanted individuals involved in drug-related offenses, both domestically and internationally.

The operations conducted by the law enforcement authorities shed light on the extent of drug-related crimes and the efforts being made to apprehend individuals involved in such illegal activities. The collaboration between different countries and law enforcement agencies was crucial in locating and capturing suspects wanted for drug trafficking and other offenses. These operations are part of ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes and ensure that those involved in such illegal activities face justice.

The apprehension of the suspects, including those with prior convictions and individuals wanted by international law enforcement agencies, demonstrates the commitment of the authorities to crack down on drug-related crimes. The successful operations serve as a warning to those who engage in illegal drug activities that they will be held accountable for their actions. The collaboration and coordination between different agencies and countries play a significant role in combating transnational crimes and ensuring that individuals involved in such activities are brought to justice.

Overall, the operations conducted by the Narcotics Crimes Branch Directorate have resulted in the apprehension of several suspects involved in drug-related offenses, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and related crimes. The successful operations demonstrate the dedication of law enforcement agencies in pursuing and capturing individuals involved in such illegal activities, both domestically and internationally. The coordinated efforts between different agencies and countries have proven to be effective in addressing drug-related crimes and ensuring that perpetrators are held accountable for their actions.
